HDB painting services can be offered in standard packages in Singapore or customized to the customers’ needs.
We take around 2 days to complete painting 3-room HDB flats, and around 2-3 days for 4-room types. For 5-room HDB units, executive apartments as well as maisonettes, the turnaround time can take from 3 to 4, or even 6 days to a week, depending on the flat size and any other additional painting services such as applying of sealers or plastering. Our standard HDB painting packages offer customers up to 3 paint colour choices; any additional colours can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
For maisonettes, as it involves spanning two levels, tall ladders or scaffoldings may be necessary in some cases to reach high ceilings and wall surfaces. HDB Maisonette owners may also require their stairways and railings to be painted.
Painting Walls, Ceilings, Doors & Sanitary Pipes
HDB painting services typically include painting of all interior walls (except for tiled areas) including the store room, all ceilings (including ceilings of bathrooms and kitchen) as well as toilet piping.
HDB Wall Painting Services
Depending on the condition of the walls, we may include or exclude priming the walls with sealer paint prior to applying the paint coats. For new flats, primer sealers are not necessary as the wall substrates are generally smooth and free of paint peeling, cracking or flaking.
If priming the walls is necessary, we generally provide one coat of sealer, followed by 2 coats of paint finish.
HDB Ceiling Painting Services
It is common for older flats to experience ceiling surfaces that are bulgy, bubbled, flaky, or with concrete pieces breaking off. The latter is the case of spalling concrete. Water leakage through the ceiling slab and reinforcement bars corrosion can happen within the slab. Owner will require HDB representatives to do a check to see if the problem affects any structural integrity, and also to be advised on the settlement of repair costs with the neighbor staying upstairs.
For minor blistering, hairline cracks, peeling and other surface irregularities, we are able to assist in small touch-up jobs with cement plastering on the affected areas prior to painting the ceilings. Some cases may require full surface plastering services to even out the surfaces of which we are able to provide as well.
Painting of Doors, Door Frames & Window Frames
Standard HDB Packages typically exclude doors and door frames when it comes to painting HDB flats. Door and door frames painting is generally charged anything from $60 to $100 per door with frame. If they are to be included in a painting package, then an additional lump sum of a few hundred dollars will be factored into the painting package price. Additional costs may also be included if customers require their window grilles or metal gates to be painted.
HDB Momento Painting Services
Apart from the regular painting that we use regular Nippon, ICI Dulux, SKK, Jotun, etc, and other commercial paints, we also provide Momento painting services, i.e. textured special effect interior painting for feature or accent walls. This type of wall painting is getting increasingly popular among HDB flat owners as it decorates and enhances the home environment without having to spend too much money.
Protective coverings and shifting of furniture
Protective works such as laying out of protective sheets and coverings on the furniture, floorings and covering up of wall and ceiling lights, etc, are included in HDB painting services. This also includes our labour in helping to move certain furniture out of the flat or away from the wall surfaces to make way for our workers to access the back wall areas of these furniture. These furniture will then also be shifted back to their original positions after the paint has dried.
